Taking  Concerns of 3rd Ward Residents Seriously

Engagement:

Provide time for 3rd ward residents to gather and exchange ideas and concerns and to hear from various City Department Heads

Advocating:

For the efficient use of your tax dollars and community resources.

Development Planning:

Common sense development, gathering spaces and green space in the downtown area and a thoughtful approach to preserving the historic nature of the city and unique neighborhoods.

Periodic Reports:

Evaluate the Business Assistance Grant program periodically to determine if it is achieving the desired results.

Community Development:

Updates on Community Development Projects: Plans for City-owned property, including acquisition and build-out costs, rent, projected sales taxes, etc.

Update the City’s Building Code:

Current city code refers to the 2015 International Building Code. The International Code Committee (ICC) revises/amends the code every 3 years. Most surrounding suburbs are using the 2021 code and the new 2024 code, including: Mt. Prospect, Niles, Park Ridge and Elk Grove Village
